Field Level Security |
Field Level Security by Service Type is used to allow or deny access to the Customer Service Fields based on a user's Security Profile. Multiple Field Level Security Configurations can be defined with different combinations of Security Profiles, Service Types and Service Fields. Prior to getting started, the effected Security Profiles will need to have Customer Update Rights and Field Level Security By Service Type enabled. Navigate To: System>Administration>Manage Security Profiles
- Select the Profile Name that will be used to define Field Level Security.
- Expand the tree: Customers>Customer Explorer
- Enable Customer Update Rights and Field Level Security By Service Type
- Save Changes.
Navigate To: System>Administration>Field Level Security By Service Type
New Field Level Security
- Select New Configuration.
- Enter a Setup Name.
- Select the Security Profile(s) from the Profile grid.
- Users with the selected security profiles selected will be considered in the Field Level Security.
- Select Service Type(s)
- Select Service Field(s) to be allowed.
- Service Fields left unchecked will be read only.
- Service Fields checked will allow users with the selected Security Profile to change these Service Fields for the selected Service Type.
- Save.
- Optional Export Configuration to another Company.
Modify Field Level Security
- Select Existing Configuration.
- Select an existing Setup Name from the drop down.
- Make Changes to any available fields:
- Change Name
- Profile(s)
- Service Type(s)
- Service Field(s)
- Delete
- Save.
